- Glenn Beck on Fox "News" is sowing sedition and treason five days a week. Will it take another Oklahoma City bombing to make him and his ilk stop? Or would that only rile them up further?
- I figured out why our oldest cat Randall is King of the Pets, and it has nothing to do with him being the oldest, the only male, or the one with the best right jab. No, it is because he's the one who gets them all treats! He's the one who talks, so he's the one who begs for treats loudly and gets them, and so the other pets follow him around like he's a miracle worker.
- I'm getting my computer bits today, so hopefully my next blog entry will be from my new PC, and not from my wife's laptop complaining about how one or more of the parts came to me broken. Even if it is up and running tonight it will be FAR from finished, but for now I'll be happy with basic functionality.
- I'm thinking that non-batshit feminists are going to have to come up with a new name, because the crazies have taken over the asylum. This moron is a "radical feminist" which must mean "sexist PITA" because she continually uses the word "dude" to describe men in the same way that sexist men would use the word "cunt" to describe women. I'd also call her a cunt, but out of an affinity for British swear words more than anything else.
- I'm thinking about heading out for some Chinese food. I haven't had any in over a month, and it will do two things for me: distract me from the wait for my computer bits, and allow me to eat without ruining the cleaning I just finished in the kitchen. Wow that floor is clean, which comes from filling the sink with soapy water and forgetting to turn off the faucet for 20 minutes. Yay Joe!
- Speaking of pets, they are all camped outside my office door right now. That's one more reason to leave the house and get some lunch. Everyone have a great day!

Random Thoughts
Yep, because I want to rant and rave but when I look at all the possible targets I can't pick just one!! So, in no particular order at all:

Had a pretty decent weekend!
The wife and I made a whole day of it Saturday, the first time we've done that in awhile.
We started out with haircuts... I loves getting a haircut. Keeping my hair short is the key to surviving a summer in Florida. I did getting my scalp washed after the haircut even more. It is sort of a luxury thing I don't get to experience much.
Then, off to the shopping joint. Wife got a replacement pair of shoes that were almost half off what the last pair were. Yay! Then Target. Picked up a couple of T-shirts and a movie, wife got socks and slippers and a new watch. Skipped the bookstore and went to the next town over where the movie theater is. We had lunch at TGIFriday's I had a burger, my wife had a salad, and I managed to spray Jack Daniel's sauce all over my shirt. Luckily, I had new T-shirts in the car!
From there, it was off to Staples to look at computer bits and pens. My wife and I both have sort of a pen "thing" going on. She stole all of my pens, lost them all at work, and I guess needed me there with her so she would know the exact type to buy. Good times and all. Made a quick stop at the GameStop, where I picked up a game called "Alan Wake"... sort of a supernatural thriller game in which a writer is trapped inside his own story. Literary gaming, who knew?
Finally, went to the movie. Prince of Persia. Not bad, not great, sort of just there. The whole thing felt very flat, for all the violence and special effects. Got home, made tacos, went to bed and slept for like 12 straight hours.
Leaving the house makes me TIRED!

Computer building Part II
Yeah, ordered another $615 worth of parts today. Motherboard, processor, RAM, and a power supply. I have been freaking out all week about it.
First off, wife o' mine needs a new pair of shoes and a night (or at least afternoon) out of the house, and that cuts into my computer budget. Not that I mind or begrudge her anything, but at the same time it meant that I had to cram my budget down as low as possible. Not that I really scrimped on anything, but there's more stuff I'll be buying down the line that would have been cool to include immediately. So here's me, juggling parts based on price, bundle discounts, rebates, whatever. Spending this kind of money always stresses me out.
Secondly, while I'm looking for a good deal, I'm also looking towards the future. So instead of the 850W power supply, I bought the 1000W. I could have bought a MUCH cheaper motherboard, but instead I got the most current model available today. It gives me the possibility of adding a new processor and much faster RAM some day in the future.
Finally... I have to say, I'm a bit worried about how it is all going to come together. I hope I don't break anything, and I hope that everything works properly. I don't want to have to return anything and wait even longer to get my computer up and running. This is my first complete build, so I've got my fingers crossed that I don't fuck it up.
So, since I bit the bullet and ordered the stuff, it is time to start drinking. Yay!
